Powder Manufacturing Process

We have full scale in-house powder manufacturing equipment and capabilities. It is important to note that UV cured powder coating is manufactured in the same way and uses the same equipment as traditional thermoset powder coatings.

The powder manufacturing process is outlined below.

Keyland Polymer UV Powder manufacturing step 1 - Mix - Dry raw materials including resin, photoinitiators, pigments, additives, and fillers are weighed in exact quantity and mixed together until fully blended.

Keyland Polymers manufacturing step 2 - Extrusion - The dry mix is then fed into a twin-screw extruder where the dry powder is mixed and heated into a liquid. The extradite is flattened between two chill rollers and deposed on to a cooling belt. The cooled material is chipped at the end of the belt.

Keyland Polymers manufacturing step 3 - Milling - The chipped material is then milled and classified to an exact particle size distribution.
